“Casa Wynwood was created to bring artists of all types to get her under one roof with brands looking to improve their products and elevate their image through association with talented artisans,” said Boyd Tasker, Casa Wynwood CEO (aka Chief Scientist) and co-founder with wife Christi Tasker (Chief Happiness Officer), the visionary and marketing guru behind Casa Wynwood. “We refer to the CASA as a ‘living, breathing lifestyle exhibit space’ because it constantly evolves. As a result, the brands we work with, publication editors, inventory buyers, and specifiers, are continuously exposed to new ideas and artistic executions that they can potentially utilize. It’s an innovative concept–a significant departure from the typical gallery-style setting–but getting a hot reception.”
Casa Wynwood members will benefit from various experiential marketing opportunities, kicking off with the Ex.HIB.The event coincides with Miami’s hugely popular Art Basel festival. Erinn Valencich (aka. Erinn V.), a highly successful Beverly Hills interior designer to many of Hollywood’s A-listers, will unveil the spaces she has styled in the CASA during Ex.HIB.It. Landscape architect and Brother vs. Brother winner David Font will extend Valencich’s interior theme to the outdoor areas, incorporating designs suitable for residential and commercial applications. Works from several well-known artists will fill the gallery and grace the social areas. Artists rotate every month while the entire venue undergoes a quarterly transformation coordinated by a new design team.
Casa Wynwood’s focus extends well beyond furniture and home décor to the latest in appliances, textiles, technology solutions, and building materials. The Casa Wynwood team also facilitates exhibitions between and among brands and artists and coordinates product licensing and other aspects of the relationships. In this role, CASA serves as a beta test environment where companies can experiment with new concepts and determine how to market them to the luxury audience. There are also several social events throughout the year where collectors, designers, buyers, and manufacturers can interact more informally and on a more intimate level.
“We made Wynwood our home because it is one of the most dynamic arts districts in the world, with a fresh and exciting blend of established names and emerging talents,” said Christi Tasker. “And we will use the energy of this world-class art environment to create connections that benefit everyone involved with the Ex.HIB.It–artists, brands, buyers, and the media. We have a detailed strategy in place for maximizing both the productivity and the positive exposure of our members.”
