Members-only venue CASA Wynwood invites artists to submit proposals for 50 plus spaces to showcase artistic talents to a high profile luxury audience

OCTOBER 5,2015 – MIAMI, FL ‐ CASA Wynwood, the new members‐only luxury lifestyle display and art exhibition venue opening in the Wynwood Arts District during Art Basel, invites local artists to showcase their creative talents. Rather than submitting completed works, artists will be invited to paint on a wide variety of surfaces. These include everything from interior walls, exterior garden art gallery spaces, a garage door, an interior staircase, home furnishings such as designer chairs and tables, and even the dumpster. CASA Wynwood has a tremendous amount of square footage, much of which is covered with items painted white and ready for a fine artist’s touch.

Artists of all skill levels are encouraged to apply. Leveling the playing field and giving beginning artists the same opportunities to submit works and exhibit art with leading manufacturers as high profile artists are important to CASA Wynwood founders Boyd and Christi Tasker. Artists will be chosen based on both talent and potential and showcased to leading publications, bloggers, curators, and manufacturers worldwide.

“We want to give back by giving a hand-up to the next generation of art stars,” said Boyd Tasker. “Who knows? The next Banksy, Shepard Fairey, or even local international art sensation Miguel Parades could be your next‐door neighbor or your own child. We look forward to watching artists of all kinds create together to develop an amazing space for our members to enjoy and for the press to feature.”

Beverly Hills designer to the stars, Erinn Valencich, also known as Erinn V., is the interior designer and design director for CASA Wynwood. Erinn and her team will be previewing art proposals and providing responses to artists within 72-hours of their completed emailed submissions. Spaces will be allocated to artists that best fit the inspiration for each area of CASA Wynwood, which provides a unique opportunity for an unknown artist to paint luxury items‐chairs or tables valued at $10,000 or more, for example–that could ultimately be purchased by one of the CASA’s celebrity members.

“CASA Wynwood’s digital curation team powered by marketing firm PuTTin’ OuT will be scouring the internet and social media platforms to help Erinn V. find artists,” said Christi Tasker. “They’ll be looking for artists that have painted existing works that coincide with Erinn’s inspiration for the CASA’s design for the first quarter of 2016. While the search will be worldwide, we certainly want local Miami artists to take advantage of the opportunity.”

Select artists can begin crafting their works on some of the areas of the CASA and furnishings immediately; other areas will be completed closer to Art Basel. All items and painting must www.casawynwood.com 120 NW. 25THSTREET –MIAMI, FLORIDA –USA 33127 –Info@CasaWynwood.com1-888-707-5453 be completed by December 2nd, 2015. Work will be showcased to members beginning December 3rd during the CASA Wynwood Grand Opening Members Only Party. Prior to the event, the CASA Wynwood venue will host multiple panels and press conferences for high profile celebrities, artists, politicians, and publications.

Erinn V. and her team have created a list of desired items along with inspiration for each area of the CASA, but are also open to each artist’s recommendations and art proposals.
